In short

• Free-for-life work can stay on your computer. Features included in the free-for-life edition can be used, saved, and retained locally without an account.
• Premium work requires sign-in and cloud storage. Premium workflows, including substation and petrochemical components, require an account and can only be saved and retained in the cloud.
• No advertising, analytics, or telemetry. We do not sell personal information.

Information stored on your computer

• Free-for-life project files you save locally. They are not sent to us unless you choose to create or save cloud work. Premium projects cannot be saved or retained locally.
• Settings, including theme, units, window layout, export and report preferences, and any company name or logo-file location you enter.
• A sign-in cache, when you sign in, encrypted by Windows for your Windows account so the program can keep you signed in between sessions.
• An error log, written to your Windows temporary or application-data location if the program encounters an unexpected error. It remains on your computer unless you choose to send it with a support request.

Information we receive when you sign in

• Your account. Microsoft Entra External ID provides sign-in. We receive an account identifier, your name and email address, and keep them in a profile with your account tier, promotional-period date, organization memberships, and any company name, license number, or display name you add.
• Cloud and premium work. Premium workflows, including substation and petrochemical components, require sign-in and cloud storage. Cloud information can include job details, project contacts, site address and coordinates, foundation designs and saved versions, descriptions, component-library entries, and client records. While a design is open for editing, the name of the person editing it may be shown to other authorized members.
• Searchable descriptions. A design description is sent to Microsoft Azure AI to compute a search index entry so designs can be found by meaning.
• Maps and addresses. When you view a job map or search for an address, the search text, coordinates, or visible map area are sent to Esri ArcGIS location services to find and display the place.

How we use information

We use information to sign you in; store, version, restore, and share cloud projects; determine which capabilities your account opens; and respond when you contact us. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it.

Engineering use and professional responsibility

FoundaTrix Studio is an engineering analysis and decision-support tool, not a substitute for the independent judgement of a qualified professional. Results depend on the information, assumptions, criteria, and code provisions selected by the user. You are responsible for reviewing all inputs, validating calculations, interpreting results, and determining whether the information produced is suitable for a particular project, jurisdiction, design, drawing, or submittal.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ramisoft Solutions is not liable for decisions made or actions taken in reliance on information produced by the software, or for resulting designs, losses, damages, or claims. All results must be independently verified before professional or construction use.

Who else can see it

• Your organization: members of an organization you belong to can see jobs and designs you share with that organization. Nothing you save is public.
• Service providers: Microsoft processes information for Entra External ID, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, and Azure AI. Esri processes map and address requests when you use those features. Their handling is governed by their respective privacy terms.
• Legal requirements: we disclose information when required by law.

How long we keep it

• Cloud projects remain until you delete them. Saved versions of a design are retained for six months.
• Deleted jobs and designs remain in the recycle bin for thirty days, where they can be restored, and are then removed.
• Your profile is retained while your account exists. Contact us to request deletion of your account and cloud data.
• Information on your own computer remains yours to keep or delete. Uninstalling the Microsoft Store edition removes its private settings and sign-in cache.

Security

Information travels to and from the service over HTTPS. Cloud projects are available only through an authenticated session to you and the organizations with which you share them. Windows encrypts the sign-in cache for your Windows account.

Children

FoundaTrix Studio is professional engineering software and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that age.

Your choices and rights

You can use the free-for-life capabilities without an account. Premium capabilities require sign-in and cloud storage. You can delete cloud projects yourself and may ask for a copy of information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion. Depending on where you live, including the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, applicable law may provide additional rights. We honor these requests for all users.

Changes to this policy

We will publish changes on this page with a new effective date and describe significant changes in the program's release information.
